I usually tend to go over 1gb a month with my 4gs. I just found myself watching videos in bed or the train which tends to drain data rather quickly. Funny I actually need 5 times more than the average data usage of other iPhone users :-D

I find netbooks to be aweful. Their keyboard are just tiny, same with the screens. They tend to be horrible slow (thus you can't do much on them). I would just go for a regular small notebook in stead (13') which you can get pretty good prices as well and will be much faster.

Very interesting development. I think the mouse era will eventually end, but not through this technology. Despite seeming pretty tiring after a while it will probably be a mixture of various different controls that will eventually end the mouse era as we know it.
