There was not a link for either brand G Skill or Patriots, but I can tell you look at the timing Corsair makes some really nice stuff. These are really fast. Look at the Cas Latency Lower is better. Cas Lat of 7 is going to be awesome.

    $600 Budget

Wolfeking, I did go with a OCZ 650 watt and it was so light I don't think I can bring myself to buy another one. The exterior build quality was not as high as I expected. Everyone has a POS model though. I have had really good luck with Cooler Master PSU's. I bought the HAF 922, I liked it but...

    Good first buy?

Completely correct. Your PSU is your insurance package, if it blows it is possible it can take other components out with it. Always shoot for more power than you need because a good PSU can stay with you for many years. The next computer you build will most likely need more than 300W. If you...

    CAD PC Hardware suggestions needed...

In my opinion, The biggest problem with Vista is XP was about 8 years old and no one wanted to upgrade. I am not saying it does not have problems but it was so different from XP not many could understand it. For a NVIDA card to use 2 monitors you have to have 2 GPU's.

    CAD PC Hardware suggestions needed...

The guy is only using it for a CNC machine. Something not exactly like this but close. These can be ran on laptops. The CNC machine doesn't matter. Its the files that he will draw that matters most. Yes you would be better off with a pro Video card, they are correct, but you would not need much...

You would get better performance from your ram if you fill in the 4th Dimm.

Consider upgrading your monitor to this. Usually a budget CAD PC will cost up too $2500. They can be built much cheaper, but it will probably include a gaming GPU instead of a professional GPU. Either will work fine its important to know what exactly your doing? I draw blue prints for homes and...

    Laptop and Desktop Raid0

Yes she should upgrade to something similar to what I suggested earlier. This should work as well, But that tablet is not enough for her.

I think your going to have to tell her to upgrade computers. What does she have now? A fresh install of windows will help too. Do a backup prior. Installing more RAM will help but you will not be able to upgrade Garphics cards, and if you could it would not be a lot of help. This might work...

    NéeD a motherboard

I apologize for my mistake. I mistook the first motherboard for the second. If you purchased it already and went threw newegg they will accept the return. I was trying to explain why sli or crossfire was not worth the extra money with AMD boards.

    NéeD a motherboard

AMD can run dual x16 Intel 1155 sockets only have 16 lanes of PCIe bandwidth. AMD has 42. Best you can get out of SLI or crossfire with 1155 is dual x8. The advantage with Intel is higher performance so it can do more with SLI. To answer the question posted any thing you instal in a PCIe slot...

    Building comp. advice

No its not. The FX-8120 is basically a 4 core with hyper threading AMD hoped it would out perform the i7 but it did not. AMD is OK but, $200 spent on Intel will get you much more than what AMD would provide.

    gaming PC for specific games

Good point. I think since I have them lying around eveyone else does too lol. The GTX 560 is a good card too. Here is a different MOBO with the same CPU same price but has a $20 mail in rebate that will take about 6-9 months to get back to you.

    gaming PC for specific games

This thread seams to be everywhere. Here is the directions to build it yourself. Skip the parts as this is a older article. CPU and MOBO GPU That leaves about $350 for a case, RAM, PSU, Hard Drive, CD ROM.

Need motherboard, can't find a match!

Its basically the name, Fatal1ty. Broadcom BCM57781 LAN, and the audio is also supposed to be better as well. I have heard nothing great from either myself. Even though Gigabyte is a dependable brand, if your going to Overclock the Fatal1ty will probably OC higher. Only cards with SLI Support...

New Computer will not connect to Internet

If someone already said, "You need a driver" Why would I also say you need a driver. Often times after installing the driver you will need to enable the network. XP and Vista both are more complicated than windows 7. I have seen it more than once either it was done by accident or it was by...

    Building comp. advice

"Is the intel i5 really that much better?" ...Yes but consider i3 as well. I understand you can't buy from newegg. "I'm hoping that just needs a better PSU and not a special motherboard"...you would be correct. 650W should be fine.
