Thanks for the idea, although I think I've fixed it! I pretty much googled 'high ping spikes' and then tried every fix that everyone suggested, so I have no idea what actually fixed it but I don't SEEM to be getting high ping spikes anymore. I'll be back if anything changes. Thanks!

Yeah I removed the wireless adapter when testing the wired connection! The router is a 'BoB Lite'. I'm just connecting the ethernet cable to the port in my Motherboard

Yep it did fail the SMART test, so I guess I'll get a new drive! Yes I think I may have heard some noise coming from it as well. What's the best way to get everything from this drive onto my new one? Not even sure how I'd go about doing that.

How much is "not too expensive"? I believe Logitech have some pretty good headsets, maybe look at Logitech and choose one that's around your price range, and then watch some reviews of it or something.

Okay. Well don't take my word for it (because I haven't been keeping an eye on PC hardware lately), but I think a gtx 750 ti might be a good option. I think it costs around $160-$170 but it's worth spending that little bit more. Again, wait for someone else to respond before purchasing...
