Sounds like a driver issue or if you were successful with changing the bit depth than it the monitor check if you can change its settings of constrast and brightness that may help a bit

I dont really use anti virus software but I heard good things about avg avntivirus and for the two programs you have why not install one use it for a while then install the other one and test it out and pick out which one fits your interest better

ALright I blew a regular fan on the mobo and got temps down to 53C and it still crashes when I run Bittorrent I know the temps are'nt getting near 60 so heat is not the issue I am perplexed!?!
