I have a mushkin 180gb ssd with firmware 502abbfo, it has a firmware update to 504- I read in previous threads that it is suggested to update the firmware. I read somewhere that this could wipe out the ssd and os system,i have a cloned copy of drive on another ssd,would it be better to install...

someone mentioned antec 300/ the better one is the 302-or 300two cases the 300 has very little room for cables, etc and seems flimsy either way make sure you get a usb 3 to usb 2 adaptor when u get case they usually come with one.

the amd build looks good,that mobo has 6 sata 3 connectors, if u go intel make sure the mobo can handle more than 2 sata 3 connectors ,something to check on if u plan on more than 2 hdd's. most intel have 2 sata 3 and 4 sata 2 connectors.

mine is 7.3 windows experience, as stated by someone previously it's not a good benchmark, but in computer stores with their computers set up, it's good to click it and see what kind of crap they want 800.00 for, some come in at 4.3- 5.9 was the highest. screenshot to follow, gotta figure out...

also if u go antec 300 or 302 make sure you get the special adaptor cable for usb port on mobo to front usb on case antec has a weird set up there., regards USB 3 TO 2 CONVERTER SKU: SPAREP-00400<-- antec part #

also the 300 is tight for wiring and a little flimsy, try and price the 302 it's a way better case , regards

i know it's tough when someone else is involved- go amd and save money and the kid will appreciate the extra heat in his room in the winter
