    but you see people with those converter things that say "convert your VHS TO BLUEEE RAAAAYY!!!!" i think there are also dvd ones. my question is, those weren't recorded in HD and they come out with clearer picture. why wouldn't the same principal apply with my situation?

    don't they render things all the time though, like blue ray. some movies weren't filmed in HD like that but they are rendered.into it. couldn't I just burn my footage on dvds and then render it in a blue ray converter?
