I just installed a new installed a new M.2 drive in my Dads computer however now that's done my computer no longer sees 2 of my other sata drives. They where working before I made the change. Can anyone offer any suggestion to what happened to make this problem or any possible fixes.

Replaced the SATA cable with a brand new one and swapped port, so far it seems to be behaving itself. thanks for the advice. I will still look at replacing the drive but for now I will at least have the chance to back up any important information on there as before I could not cause it would...

I have not yet tried a different port however this is a new build only a few days old and the hard drive was having issues before hand. not quite this bad but it was deffinatly showing signs of serious issues

can confirm it was the VR headset causing it. I had my HTC Vive plugged in to the display port on my GPU while my monitor is plugged in via HDMI, im guessing the Display Port was primary and during post it was trying to power on the Vive to show the boot screen but without windows being loaded...

No os installed at all yet. Hitting del to get to bios doesn't work it's acting like the keyboard isn't there though the numlock light does come on. I have reset the cmos using the jumper on the board and still got no were. I will try pulling sticks of ram next

Ok so I purchased new MB CPU RAM and M.2 drive. Straight swap into my case. Turning the pc on I get to the MB splash screen but can't get any further. Can't enter the bios at all. I have tried all the troubleshooting steps I know. Can anyone offer any help? Cpu Intel i5 10400f MB Gigabyte z590...

ok so I have run tests on ALL my had drives and they all came back fine. However my OS Drive did have trouble when doing a simple disk cleanup, it seemed to take forever. Also the temperature of my OS drive is "High", its sitting at 52c which doesnt seem to bad to mee but I dont really know...

Cant remember what program I used but my OS drive a Samsung M.2 Evo. My games are installed on a Seagate Baracuda 2tb drive.

this is strange. my PC got through all the tests without issue. I cant recreate my crashes with tests.... perhaps there is something with one of my hard drives that isnt effected by these tests as they arnt reading the hard drive like a game would.

well ran both gpu tests and got no errors
