    hello

Call me an idiot... Surely the guy wants help, not for you to belittle his English skills. Maybe we should stick to that rather than demanding a set of English GCSEs before we can help :p. Some people struggle with grammar and stuff. Maybe we should be a bit considerate for the person, otherwise...

    In search of light programs

I would try Ubuntu MATE first. MATE is meant to continue GNOME 2 in a round about sort of way. Although it can be a bit ugly. I guess tmux doesn't class as a "GUI" ;)

    Strange question

Would it be a better idea as to just running as an admin user in general? Or it is an overkill for a pc only I use?

    In search of light programs

Windows 10 has Windows Defender built in anyway. Saying that, my mum has an Intel Atom netbook running Windows 10 Home x32 with just 1GB memory. It runs avast! antivirus perfectly fine and they use Google Chrome too. Windows 10 is more optimised to mobile devices, and has had more time for...

    hello

It isn't that hard to work out what they are trying to say. What happens when you try to start your computer normally? Can you think of anything you might have installed before this begun?

    Strange question

With Unix based systems, even as a home user, you will tend to not use an administrator/root account for general purpose computer usage, instead you will be in one of the groups/users entries in the sudo-ers file to allow you to access root. On Windows, I know you have the administrator account...

Facebook Access? (Some sort of blocking and codes shown?)

Unlikely. You need your firewall up. Facebook uses the same ports as any other website. 80 for HTTP and 443 for HTTPS. Run avast! free Antivirus. Windows has a firewall anyway

    Occasional attacks on Wireless AP

Just the bog standard router firewall. It is my home connection. Here are logs for the few days or so. I get them via email. Any addresses blanked are my machines. I don't run any web server or anything, it is just our home internet connection. I have DDNS set up for when I set a file...

    Microsoft office alternatives (Free)???

A lot of people find the online tools useful, my issue is that my internet might not always be usable, so then, poof. No access to programs I need. You could always be mad and download Oracle VirtualBox, and then install a copy of AndroidX86 in it, then download the free Android MS Office apps.

    Microsoft office alternatives (Free)???

Yeah but then you might as well use Google Drive. Using Office online feels as bad as playing Team Fortress 2 over remote desktop.

Complete Newbie when it comes to computers!

If you want help getting started with programming, give me or @Cromewell a shout. I enjoy talking to people about programming. I can't help as much with hardware. You don't need to pay for courses to learn to program. I taught myself from scratch when I was 14, I started with a language called...

    Microsoft office alternatives (Free)???

If you take out a £9000/year student loan and go to uni, then you will get office for free on Office365 most probably.

    Windows Memory Diagnostic Tool

You know how you installed Windows 8/10 by booting the disk? Do that. It is not a Windows program. It is an OS that runs off the disk. When you start your computer, you press something like DEL/F5/F2/ESC/F10/F12/F8 or something to open your boot menu.

    Windows Memory Diagnostic Tool

That was in reply to me Voyager. Just remember that whilst stuff is clear to you, other people are not as fast to pick stuff up. Lets try and be helpful rather than short. The OP wants help remember.
