Using Range Extender and Router separately

Yes already did it. I'm using it as an AP. It is much more stable and faster. Even though is further apart from the router works better. Thank you all.

Using Range Extender and Router separately

Well this thing can be configured as an AP. Does that mean I have to use a wire to connect?

Using Range Extender and Router separately

Oh yes I know. The thing is, my PC is too far from the router, so if I want to connect a wire to my extender that means I'll need to have the extender close to my PC right? By definition the extender will be far from the router and will be completely useless. Or am I missing something?

Using Range Extender and Router separately

Wait, I´m sorry. I set up the extender again and I renamed the network. Now both show up. Thanks for the help!

Using Range Extender and Router separately

The thing is, there is only one network, and it uses the extender´s signal.

Using Range Extender and Router separately

So I have a big house (or a bad router), and I´m using a Range Extender. The thing is, when I´m upstairs, the range extender signal sucks. The question is this: Can I choose to use the Extender when downstairs and the router when upstairs? Or do I always have to use the Extender signal? Thanks...

    SSD on Laptop compatibility

Well actually it´s running Win7. Cheapest laptop I can get from a decent brand (Dell) is $770. Whereas I can buy an Intel SSD for $90. I mentioned Dell because the others are awful brands manufactured in my country. Either way, even if I bought a new laptop somewhere down the road, I can...

    Opinions please

You said you are not overclocking. What's the point of getting a 1000W PSU? Also, you have 6TB of HDD space, why do you want a 960GB SSD? Buy a good 240GB Samsung SSD or an Intel one. Those are usually the best. Everything else looks standard. I would change that though.

    SSD on Laptop compatibility

Hi guys. It's been a long time. I have a Compaq Presario V3000. It's pretty old and slow, so I wanted to install an SSD on it. How can I know if that's possible. Or if it is possible regardless the computer. Thanks in advance.

    Must-have security tools

So, I need you to save me once again. A few days ago my PC got infected with some kind of Adware, and it got really slow. I was wandering if you could provide me a list of software you can use to stay better protected, other than the anti-virus of course. Thanks in advance.

    GPU coolers dont work

Yeah just a window. The bottom fan is an awesome idea. I only have an EVGA 500(the 80+ , not the bronze) so yes that sounds great. Also need to buy a cpu cooler.

There are no slots to put one in this case. Just front, back, top.

    GPU coolers dont work

Hey I contacted a Tech guy from Sapphire and he told me that the max operating temperature is 92C for my card and that from 80C to 85C would be considered overheating. My card was at like 87C for 5-10 minutes. Could that have done any harm? The card is not really malfunctioning so I don't know...
