    GPU fan

This is sad... Even 780-Ti used on ebay are going for around $200. Guess I'll be trolling ebay for a while. Or quit playing PC games. Stupid crypto-mining... Thanks for everyone's input!

    GPU fan

Well I guess it's about time. I was playing PoE the other day and the card overheated and shut off. I can't see any compatibility problems with my EVGA x58 mobo and a new GTX 1050 GPU. Can anyone confirm? EVGA GeForce GTX 1050 GAMING, 2GB GDDR5, DX12 OSD Support (PXOC) Do you think $187 usd is a...

    SD card

Okay, the default setting when formatting using the computer are FAT. But again, this is happening with two different SD cards and the photos showed up fine when inserted in the camera.

    SD card

I'm not exactly sure. They are 32GB Lexar Pro cards. Formatted within the Nikon D3300 DSLR camera. As far as I know the camera does not give any options for what file system to use.

    SD card

I've used the same SD card on my DSLR for years with no problem. Today when I went to xfer my photos to my laptop via the SD card reader (like I have for years), as soon as I insert the card it asks me to format. Lightroom will not read any photos on the card, however when I put it back in the...

I just used Samsung's Data Migration for my new SSD. Worked like a charm. Now I'm nerding out over how fast my old gaming PC is :D

    GPU fan

I've been fixing up an old gaming desktop of mine and it is insanely noisy. Unfortunately I think I have pinpointed most of the fan noise coming from the graphics card. I've tried blowing the dust out as best as I can (on all the fans), still noisy. I'm hesitant to try pulling it apart to get...

    Confirm death of router?

Modem plugged directly into laptop worked fine. Wired connection through router did not, as well as wifi. I was able to get into router settings plugged in, yes.

    Confirm death of router?

UPDATE: Before they issued a replacement they had me try one more thing and it worked. 1. Factory reset router 2. Power off router and modem. 3. Power on router first...then modem after. So now my question is why does the order of restarting matter? And how would a malfunction like this happen...

    Confirm death of router?

I probably should have put this in a different topic.. It's only 9 months old. I'm getting a replacement for now. It's TP-Links AC1750 dual band. Anything more reliable in that same price range? Thanks for the help.

    Confirm death of router?

This morning I wake up, do a couple things on the wifi, then it goes out. Okay, so I do all the usual 10 second resets, still nothing. I plug the modem directly into my laptop, works fine. Still no wifi on router and running a cable from router to laptop does not work. Therefore my router bit...

    Macro photographer

Hey all. I'm new to the forum so this might be my introduction of sorts. Going back to school for a career in IT but my main hobby is photography. I don't have the best equipment yet (my wish list is long) but I would say I specialize in macro and long exposure photography. I use a Nikon D3300...

Turning 18 years old and want to get into the IT field need help

I'm also looking to get into an IT career. Used to be a bit of a computer wiz when I was younger, dropped out of college and slowly learned how much life sucked without a real career type job. So now I am going back to school, starting with an AAS in IT and will see where it goes from there...
