That was the problem. I even tryed two brand new cables. But lastnight i decided to make my own. And it worked.

Im in college. I have xp pro, nic is installed correctly, I can ping the nic, i've tryed slowing down the speed. Tryed both ethernet ports in the room. The LED's on the nic do light up. When I tryed installing two spare nics they didn't appear to be working. (No LED's)I cant think of anything to...

cpu/mb combo 200-350...would this get me a decent set up? Im not a "hardcore" gamer...Yes i love games, but im currently running on my parents dell home edition, and its fine for me...

Did you do anything to the msn browser or your computer, other than installing the browser?

then i would disable your firewall and see if it works

is it msn premium? If it is, then installed that would not restrict firefox or ie.

ya, i use it, pretty good tool.

I would run spyware scans. Just because you have msn premium, and have the browser, does not mean you cant use firefox. Check firewalls. Restart pc. Powercycle the modem
