    If u mother board doesnt come with SATA, you can buy a PCI extension of SATA. I think not expensive about US$20. SATA can support only two drives. Not sure if you install two SATA PCI card can handle 4 drives or not.

    If you want to boot from the CD room you need to change the boot option in bios setup. Normally most of the mother board set default to floopy and HDD.

    Previously what OS did you use? Did you format "D" drive using NTFS file system? Win 9X cant see NTFS file system.
