    Quad 7900's?

Yeah if you're thinking about it, it's not really worth it, unless you truely don't have anything else to blow your money on. A whore would be better use for your money :/ Yet if you do want to go that route, make sure you get decent case cooling, and have an adequate power supply

Post A Pic Of Your Pc Here :)

I don't have a camera to post a pic, yet mine is a X-Blade...the same type right next to the logo at the top of this site :)

    Windows Firewall enough? (behind router)

I'm behind a D-Link 624+ rev-c wireless router, with default settings, and ports only open for a few games and my torrent program. Of course I have WEP encryption and disable SSID broadcast so locally I know I'm secure, yet what I'm curious about is if Windows Firewall is enough protection for...

    What was YOUR first GPU???

Mine was an nVidia TNT2 or something like that...32MB. However, I never bought it, it came with my computer. The first video card I bought separate and installed myself would be ATI's AIW 9800 Pro 128MB...which I was still using till...about 3 weeks ago :) (this was also only my second card)

    wow, that was hard

Uhhhg I feel for you man. I get annoyed just from having to connect the HDD LEDS and everything to the mobo, so I can only imagie what you had to do :0

Help-Pc to play on Plasma in 16:9

Well, first list your video card model so we can let you know if you need to upgrade it. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Monitor_resolution You can search for a 16:9 resolution on that page, then right click your desktop, choose Properties, Then choose the Settings tab, and see if you have any...

Plz Help Me... My computer is totally Fuxed...

Does your receiver require you to install the drivers first before you even connect it to the PC? I had the same problem last year when I went wireless. It turns out, if I had the device plugged in before I had used the setup disk to install the drivers, Windows would load default drivers that...

    3DMARK06 Scores Here

I think my sig is up to date, yet this is what I got without OCing anything, stock cooling, etc, etc. I'm happy I paid what I did for my system :)

    OC advice

I currently have a AMD 3500+ cpu that runs at 2.2GHz. My motherboard, Asus AV8, has a AI Overclocking, and gives me the option to overclock it automatically upto 10%, 2.42GHz. I've tried this, and the system runs perfectly smooth, and with a great deal of difference in Windows/Game loading...

AIW 9800 Pro (AGP) -> BFG GeForce 7800GS OC 256MB (AGP)

Yeah the problem though is money. It would take some time to save it up to make such an upgrade. Also with DX10 and a new windows OS coming out, I'm not really sure I wanna jump right into it. When I make upgrades, I do the whole main system (RAM, CPU, Mobo). It's just a lot easier to sell...

AIW 9800 Pro (AGP) -> BFG GeForce 7800GS OC 256MB (AGP)

I'm in a sticky situation. I have a product service plan for my 9800 that expires Dec 2007. I think I'll wait till next summer to upgrade to a PCI-E card. I don't want to upgrade my mobo without upgrading the Video interface (to PCI-E), and the RAM (to DDR2). Now...what to do to my 9800 so...

AIW 9800 Pro (AGP) -> BFG GeForce 7800GS OC 256MB (AGP)

Anyone able to provide some insight of what type of improvements would come of such an upgrade? I mainly like to play WoW, Counterstrike, FEAR, and a few others. Putting the AGP slot aside, do you think this would last me for 2-3 years processing wise? What's a similar ATI card of the...

    Laptop or Desktop?

To be honest, I'd say keep school/work and personal computing separated. Upgrade your desktop, and see what options your school offers (ie. loaner laptops). I did a programming course and could never imagine combining what I want (entertainment, music, gaming, etc), with what my school wanted...

    LG L204WT 20.1" Problem

Yup it does. I've read some threads stating that people haven't had any issues with the AIW 9800 Pro and the native resolution (1680x1050) of the monitor. Well, I got my replacement, so lets hope this doesn't happen again. It's a solid monitor otherwise, and the 2000:1 contrast ratio is stellar!

    LG L204WT 20.1" Problem

DVI cable made no difference. Yeah, dark colors tend to look like they're flickering between red and green. I'm taking it back to get a replacement, and if that one goes bogus on me, bye bye LG. And it's not my video card. My friends monitor works perfectly fine on my computer :/

    LG L204WT 20.1" Problem

It doesn't matter where I am, window, boot screen, it's all blurry and looks like it's bleeding. I've disconnected the cables and reattached them to no avail. I am using a DVI to analog converter though, so it can plug into my 9800 card. I will try tommorow to buy a DVI cable, so I can do a...

    LG L204WT 20.1" Problem

Just bought this monitor today, and I was playing CS:Source, when all of a sudden the color dropped substancially, and the images began to look 16, even 8-bit like. It looks chromatic like, and any colors other than white are visably flickering (not intensely, yet noticeable). Blue looks green...

    Your View on the DS

Well, I was able to buy my DS, 3 games, and still remain under the PSP's price. That's in Canada though...not sure what it's like in the US. Hell, $20-30 for games ain't bad in my opinion. It's an easy way to expand your library. I just bought Starfox Command and it's amazing :)
