I ended up getting the ram listed in the link in my original most and the computer is running in dual channel. I am posting this as an update so anyone thinking of doing the same the information is here.. EDIT: The computer model is the Inspiron 15 3520 built in 2023 with 11th gen core I5.

Actually, the scans may have just fixed everything I rebooted again, and I also changed in MSconfig the processors from 1 to 4 (it goes up to 8) now fan vrooming has slown down and I am no longer at 100CPU.. Lets see how this runs for awhile.

windows defender says it found threats, wont say what it is, and will not remove it either.
