Two things will happen if I mount upside down. 1) warm air will be blown down over water cooled cpu,motherboard, etc and 2) the 4 mounting screw holes do not form perfect square

Which ver of Windows do I need? I have a cd that's connected via FireWire and XP will have to press F6 at some point to install SATA driver. Problem is I can't find SATA driver I would install. I have heard " newer" versions of Windows doesn't have this issue. What ver is it?

had to drill new holes forv drive, but is OK now. pc up and runnig like a champ thanks guys:)

new hard drive going into case/ har drive holder. Now dumb question, metal side up or can it go down? heat dissapation issue? Holes wont line up, will have to drill new if it matters which way

this SAME drive ran fine as a 40gig and another 40gig (2 partitions) under Win2KPRO for 2 years. It was only split into 2 partitions to decrease defrag time. I have since determined this drive took a dump and probly will be a wheel chock for someones riding mower:D

How is it when I run the hard drive program for specificly for the hard drive (western Digital Data Lifguard Tools) and partition the 80gig hard drive into ONE 80gig partition, when I finnially get back into windows (on the 6gig) and see the other drive, it ONLY SHOWS AS A 31gig HD??? And yet...
