    After careful thinking, I had this same problem years ago with my first build. RAM not pushed in all the way. Works- And boom goes the dynamite!

    I assume when you say that you had to install a new HD in your laptop, that means you had to install a new OS? If that is so, then you need to install your drivers for your card reader. Most laptop makers have a website to download drivers/software.
