Have you looked at windows home server it has a feature you can install on computers and tell it to automatically back up changes to the server..

I did run tddsskiller and it removed an infection and I then ran CCleaner and defrag it appears to be running better at this point and he is ok with it thank you for all of your help

do you happen to have another psu? It seems strange the psu wont even light up it.. can you verify if it has a switch on the back to change the voltage and ensure its in the right one which is 115?

This might sound stupid but take an eraser and clean the contacts on the card as well as the contacts on your camera if you cant reach inside the camera then blow it off with some canned air.

This should easily run the software and be ok thats a decent setup but for the money if you dont need a laptop i'm sure you can get someone on here to help you build a desktop a lot cheaper.

Check all wires and ensure you got the pins in the right place this seems like you either are not completely connected or have something in the wrong place.

Dang that would be one badass rig for programming as well!
