Need to run 5 Monitors... Need help.

Hey guys! My work set-up, I have three Dell 27" widescreens. Well we have two more lying around, and I would like to add them to my work PC. (i5 Sandybridge, 16GB DDR3). My work PC has onboard DVI, HDMI, and DisplayPort. The video card (9400GT) has 2x DVI and 1 SVIDEO. Right now, The three...

    What does it take?

I started with a Nikon D5000. Kit lens and everything. I even got my buddies car featured with the pictures I took. Here is an example: http://www.flickr.com/photos/srfh/4961963681/in/set-72157624763942133 Took that with my D5000 with the lens that came with it. Shot it in RAW, then done some...

    Build check

Looks good. That should max out the power supply. I like to leave a little room (wattage wise) on my PSUs, but it will work. I would check and verify what ever ram you're getting, is on the QVL for that motherboard. it should be listed on their site.

Upgrading or buying a new computer

Its a good budget card. You need to open it up and verify that it has a PCI Express x16 slot. You also need to look on the side of the power supply and see how many Watts, and how many Amps the +12V Rail has. You may need another power supply.

Computer stuck in safe mode screen

Yup. Look for something like: xx to enter setup (xx being like DEL/F8/F2)

Computer stuck in safe mode screen

Alright. Well, if it was working fine for two weeks, and it was a fresh format and new hard drive, and you haven't changed any hardware or drivers, I would guess it was a virus. If I were you, I would bring the hard drive to another pc and scan it for virus/mailware and get all the data off...

Computer stuck in safe mode screen

Alright, I guess what I'm asking is, did you install windows on this computer you are working on? Or did you install it with another computer, and just transfered the drive.

Computer stuck in safe mode screen

You said new hard drive. Did this hard drive already have windows xp previously installed? or did you put in the new hard drive, and install windows xp FROM this computer you are working on now?

    Overclocking RAM

Eh, maybe. To be honest, you can usually gain more memory permanence by making sure all the timings and voltages are set correctly, and overclock the CPU a bit more. Those low of timings, you may need to bump the voltage up a bit more, and make sure the Command Rate is set to 2T instead of 1T...

    emachines E725 boot problem

I would try to reinstall windows. When you get to the option, Delete the partition, then do a quick format. Give that a shot and report back.

is heat sink paste on cpu pins a problem

Well, I wouldn't worry about the cpu, but I would worry about the socket that it was inserted in. Did you insert it into your motherboard, or did you receive it? If you just received it, I would preferably use arctic silvers thermal compound removal. If you don't have any, you can use rubbing...

Having setup trouble with my 6 monitor setup. help please?

Thats odd. Alright, first, when you put your mouse over the spots that are weird, does the cursor still act normal? Are you running the newest drivers for the card, not beta?

What games can I play on my rig?

I would never run an i7 system with a 580 with only a 650 watt psu  Thats just cutting your power way too close. It never hurts to have extra power.

What games can I play on my rig?

What games can I play on my rig?

Yeah, sounds like everything will take whatever you throw at it except the video card. The video card/PSU needs to be your next upgrade. Then you should be good to go.

    CIS Degree... Worth anything?

CIS would be fine for doing that. CIS wouldn't help much if you wanted to be a Network/Desktop Technician or Database Administrator.

    BIOS prob after ram upgrade

Have you tried removing the CMOS battery out of the motherboard, and putting it back in? That will clear any BIOS settings.

    First time ground up build

Everything looks good for a budget build :) Biggest thing to just make sure, It's always good to have an 80Plus certified PSU (which that one is), and make sure that the memory is in the QVL for the motherboard. Given, most of the time you wont have a problem, but It's just a little bet peeve...

    CIS Degree... Worth anything?

Biggest thing is just finding what you want to do. If you are a more hands on hardware type guy, you would want to go more into Network Administration.
