Not sure why that's funny... like I said any brand can produce a faulty PSU. If you read his other post he replaced it with the exact same model and hasn't had a problem with it. As long as it powers my PSU I don't care about anything else. I use enough computer related forums to know that even...
I've had many PSU's die on me over the years but this is the first one that produced a very strong burning smell. From the smell I don't think it was far off catching fire!
Typically it would have to happen on a Sunday evening when the shops have closed, so I've got to wait until tomorrow...
I'm using Windows Home Premium 64bit and don't get any errors. Not much help but at least you'll know that it can work properly under 64bit and that you're not wasting your time looking for a solution.
Seems to be working fine here. Only thing it's lacking is the ability to block adverts. I doubt there will even be an addon as they'd be shooting themselves in the foot. It's a nice touch how it uses transparency under Vista.

Ultimate isn't worth the extra money over Home Premium, Basic is exactly what it says... basic and business, if you're a home user it's not for you. So I'd suggest Home Premium.
I've been using Vista Home Premium 64bit now for 5 months having used Linux for 2 years before that. Aside from an initial problem with detecting my monitor and mouse, both of which I fixed I have absolutely no complaints. This is by far the best all round MS OS I've ever used.
