    Low budget PC for £200

Cheers, yeah it will be fairly light weight editing, just slightly tweaking and tidying up photos. I'll keep researching for now, I'm thinking a second hand PC might be the way forward with such a tight budget. The cost of an OS is a lot.

    Low budget PC for £200

Thanks for the speedy responses guys. A quick Q: do software packages such as Photoshop and corelDraw use much processing power from the graphics card? Or is the work done by the main CPU? Will a mobo with a built in graphics chip be upto the job? I'll have a hunt around in the attic and see...

WTB LGA 775 processor something faster than e6300

Thanks for the advice guys. I'm liking the look of that E5400, it seems to be within my budget range and 3.4-3.5ghz would be excellent especially if its faster clock for clock than my 65nm e6300. Anyone got any quad cores for sale. A Q6600 perhaps?

    plugging stereo system to comp

    plugging stereo system to comp

You've already tried it? Hmmm if its a stereo sound file you're trying to play it should work as your hifi should take the stereo signal and filter out the low frequencies and send them to the subwoofer. Post a picture of your equipment or post the full model name so I can see what you have...

    plugging stereo system to comp

I'm assuming you will probably only need something like this: http://www.amazon.co.uk/Belkin-3-5mm-Jack-Rca-3M/dp/B000FAHG9I The subwoofer should work.
