    New Viewsonic 120hz montior

I think he meant this monitor in particular, not in general. Nevertheless, I find it hard to believe.. But I'm really starting to think it can't, which would be a major "fail" for Viewsonic....

    New Viewsonic 120hz montior

I decided to pick up the new Viewsonic FuHzion 120Hz monitor. So far, I love it and was a complete upgrade from my 20 inch Westinghouse, except for one thing - I cannot see my Bios or startup. The second you hit restart or boot it up, the monitor goes into "hibernate" or whatever, like its...

Does the Burn-in drop about 5-7 degrees?

    Ah man.. Too hot.

Yup, I used AS5. I hope its not bad air flow.. This case is a beast and all 5 fans (CPU included) are running at 100%. I guess I'll just have to give it another go at reseating the heat sink..

    Ah man.. Too hot.

I FINALLY got around to building my computer (sig) and everything seems to be running fine (crosses fingers ;) ) except for my temps .At idle, Core Temp is reading my stock Q6600 at about 45C and at about 66C after 20 or so minutes of Prime95. I'm guessing its my heat sink placement, but I...

So my computer comes in today...

And as I have posted before in the past, this will be my first build. Now whether I will have enough time to put this thing together tonight, tomorrow, or even this weekend, I have no idea, but I was wondering if anybody had any little tips or hints, or some sort of advice before I take the...

    Oem or retail Vista

Are you sure? I was under the impression (and I think I got that impression from CF) that with OEM Vista (not XP), you could only install it once to one computer. If you were to change out the motherboard, that would constitute as a "new computer" and it would ask for a new, different...

    OCZ Reaper - Opinions?

What do you mean by "to use them?" They just wont work unless you up the voltage or you wont get those timings unless you up the voltage?

Intel July 22nd Processor Poll (Pic included)

Haha, yeah, but he doesn't want to upgrade then. But thats why I have been in between on choosing; I was planning on doing something along the lines of what you are, waiting until about mid next year to upgrade to quad. But... Crysis... I would be bummed If I bought a dual and have that game...

Intel July 22nd Processor Poll (Pic included)

If thats the case, then he might as well not get a computer at all in this market... If you don't think you plan on upgrading before 2-3 years, then I say, hands down, definitely, get the quad. If they are already spitting out games that "somewhat utilizes" four cores (Supreme Commander...

Intel July 22nd Processor Poll (Pic included)

Im curious about this too. I was always under the impression that it wasn't easy or smart to overclock a quad..

Intel July 22nd Processor Poll (Pic included)

Im pretty much in the same dilemma. As of right now, I'm about 70/30 sure that I will be going with the q6600 instead of the e6850. It really think it all depends on your faith in games catching on with the quads sooner rather than later. It seems the majority of the people here think they...

    This may sound funny...

But I need some convincing.. Im having second thoughts about building a gaming computer. All I can seem to find is horror stories (specifically found on Nvidias forums) about people having tons of game problems. Blue screens, black screens, games simply not working, driver issues, XP/Vista...

    8800 GTX + Windows XP = Bad?

Im pretty set on buying an 8800 GTX for my new (and first) gaming build. I was planning on running the computer on windows XP because I have heard and read that Windows Vista is still pretty buggy/unstable right now. However, I've been reading around and have come across many people who have...

    Gigabyte GA-P35C Question

Yeah... Sorry, Im not really following what you mean. Yeah, it can take DDR2 1066, but it only says DDR3 1066 as well. My question is whats the point of having a mobo that can use DDR3, but only at 1066?

    Gigabyte GA-P35C Question

So Im looking at this board http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16813128048 for my first build and at first Im thinking this board seems pretty good; It can take DDR3 so I can upgrade when DDR3 comes down in price. However, I see in the specifications that it can only support...

How does this look for gaming?

Alright, for my PSU, I now have my eye on this one Corsair 620W http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16817139002 However, now I'm kinda concerned about my Motherboard. I'm starting to read into them more and I'm a little confused on this whole "P35" and the "965P" stuff. I...
