    Hi and congratulations for trying linux! No, it is not worth it in most cases. Driver support in linux is improving, but having the 64bit version might lead to some driver problems. Performance gain is near-zero. Good luck!

    You have no idea. Ubuntu/GRUB can read and write to NTFS. Dual booting is a breeze. Just free up some space, make an ext3 partition and install linux onto it. It will automatically detect all other operating systems and configure the boot loader. You dont have to do anything. Try Ubuntu btw...

    Funny... Ubuntu works PERFECTLY with my wireless card... Theres an icon in the top right! I just dbl click and it asks for key, and bam! Im connected =] You can try SUSE linux... Its quite good.

    I have no idea what you are talking about... Anyway, a bat file simply executes a set of command line instructions - its just a script that doesnt need to be compiled... windows executes each line of command in a linear fashion An exe is an actual program that has to be compiled.
