Being an AMD fan, id still go with the Intel. Its overall better if you ask me.

Single core and dual core should have no effect at all on ram. Only thing that would effect the ram would be FSB.

2 are for 2 SLi video cards, and the third is used for the physics. Only 2 will be in SLi, however they will all be connected together.
