if you'r eon a budget pick up a cheap Phenom II X4, some sexy chips for a cheap price ,and for gaming they outperform like priced Intel variants, you also have more upgradeability (AM3, later on AM3+, versus i3/i5/i7)

The 120mm exhaust is best. The GPU blows hottest, blowing hot air on it just circulates the hot air, not get rid of it. Not just a guess, i have the 900 and tried both ways, intake kept it at same temps, exhaust was -5*C on the card on moderate/heavy loads.

If you see a good deal on a Visiontek they've always been solid to me. I've personally had all of the aforementioned except XFX, and they're all working today (no customers had issues either, and i'm think 80% of those are Sapphire or Visiontek.)
