i did the problem still occured i've just narrowed it down to my dvd copier i plugged in an old cd-rom drive and it worked i downloaded new firmware for dvd drive but still no luck

i bought a mitsumi floppy/card reader for my comp i needed it to read my cards for my cameras and i thought the addition of a floppy would handy feature if needed also being silver to match the comp is a nice touch too

I only buy dvd versions if i can, mainly because i'd rather have a game on 1 dvd disc than 4-5 cd disks. and as previous posts suggest the drives are dirt cheap nowadays anyways ( i paid £134 for a 6 speed cd drive many years ago) :eek:

I got Zone Alarm Pro running on mine, its idiot proof and it needs to be for me. I recommend it highly for computer novices. It just does it's thing and gives me no hassle whatsoever
