Hi all,
I am looking to buy a new system this xmas season, budget is $1000.
I will need everything besides mouse, k/b and speakers.
All suggestions welcome.
This PC will be used for gaming (Bioshock and Crysis on High Settings) and work.
I am looking forward to getting a new Benq FP222W monitor. I currently have a 128MB Radeon X300 graphics card. If I were to use this monitor at 1440x900 or higher, would I need a new graphics card? If so, which would you recommend?
I don't do much gaming, only old games such as Warcraft III.
Drop the sound card, and you wont need such a big power supply. Get a CoolerMaster eXtreme 430W which would run your system just fine. It is about $60 AUD. Which would mean that you would be at your $1000 mark. But if you really are a HARDCORE gamer, then you could stay with the sound card...
Unless you are running 64 bit Vista and using applications that require a LOT of RAM, there is not much point of getting 4 GB of RAM. 2 GB should be sufficient.
