Yes, I cleaned out my old cards drivers before installing the new cards drivers, then when that didnt work I cleaned out the new drivers and downloaded and installed the latest version of them still with no difference.

Yeah it doesnt show up in sound properties at all. Hes been using like an m-audio mic input and sending the audio through that to the speakers but it doesnt support surround sound and lately its been messing up on us too.

I downloaded the DOS version and extracted the files to a cd however when the boot process gets to the boot from disc stage it doesnt give me the option to press any key to boot from cd. Do i have to specifically extract the ISO file from the diagnostic folder?

Nice looking rig. If you have a few extra dollars to invest in it tho I'd suggest getting a faster model of the quad core. I have the Q6600 personally and I've been nothing but satisfied with it, but for a few extra bucks you could even upgrade it to the Q6700 and get that much extra clockspeed
