This may sound like a stupid question... but you can mix and match manufactures of RAM right? Just so long as they are the same specs (ddr2 240pin 800mhz... does timing matter?) I have 2 sticks (below) and want two more... i can get anything that my mobo supports right?

if you're putting the drive in a desktop... i don't think its worth paying for a solid state drive... they are great for laptops because they are durable. I have WD 7200rpm drives and don't find them slow at all... i guess i'm not picky enough to need velociraptor drives. what do you use now?

if you're going for a processor change it might be worth a mobo cpu combo upgrade but at that point you're on a total overhaul basically... how far do you want to take your upgrade?

I guess another question I have is how much do the voltages and timing matter? I'm pretty sure the ram I have now is 1.8V and 4-4-4-12 timing... it seems to be a trade off in what i'm seeing now either 1.8V and 5-5-5-18 like the ram i have a link to above or 2V and the quicker timing...

yea thats the reason i ask cuz you can find 1.5tb green drives on sale for significantly less than a 1tb black... but if they're noticeably slower then i don't want that since i'll be streaming video from them over a network. Think its just find the best price on the 1tb caviar black... thanks guys
