Thanks for the lengthy responce but I can't do any of that, f8 doesn't open up the usual menu for me, it just loads two quick lines and then goes to the black page with the beeping curser top left. I can't even access safe mode...:confused:

Here are the only options it gives me when I hit f12 on start up. It doesn't give me the usual black/white screen with "safe mode" option.
