Battery Life decrease on Pie 9.0?

If anything I've noticed increased battery life on my S9. This is mainly attributed to more efficient standby power draw from my conclusions, since my use case involves my phone not being used much at all some days. On my lighter days my phone will typically go from 100% to maybe 86%. This would...

    Old Pocket PC/Windows CE Software?

I've recently been playing with some old windows powered devices and have been having trouble finding software to run on them. All the links on the internet seem to be dead, except for this one "46 applications for HP Jornada 720", which most don't work and are missing crucial files or dll's...

I think an RX580 would be plenty. Likely games to be played on it are just the newer Need for Speed games, at 1080p. I'm thinking maybe we should try and return the processor, it's just such a waste of money for what it's going to be used for.. It's been over 30 days but thankfully Newegg has...

Funny you should say that, he purchased a Samsung 960 EVO M.2 NVMe 500GB with the processor. That's why I don't need any storage. Between that and the HDD's that are going into it we got it covered.

Yes I already have it.. Like I said, this was a decision made at 3AM when I was in sleeping in bed and it just shows up at the door. I've been fully aware that this is not the right chip since I opened the box and was all like, wtf. I know this isn't economical at all and it's definitely not...

Games I suppose. I know that's vague, I'll explain below.. Good to know, may as well get some good RAM to pair with it then. And yes, this is obscenely overkill, and I'm not entirely too happy with this purchase being made without my input. Sadly, this is not going to be utilized to its full...

Ok, so for some reason my spouse decided to buy a Ryzen Threadripper 1950X. Great. Now I'm supposed to choose the components for it. So I'm curious, if you were to build a computer with that CPU, which components would you use. I'll be shopping at Newegg.ca probably, for reference. Now...

    Windows 10

I know, it's a painful thought... I honestly thought he would have liked 10 better, given it's more like older Windows, but he says he got used to 8.1 when this computer came with it, and now that 10 is on there, he can't remember how to use old Windows. It's weird, I know...but I didn't ask :p...

    Windows 10

Well it definitely should work then. Been too busy lately to do it to my machine. Got my grandpas laptop, he wants 8.1 back on it.. that should be fun >_< Pretty sure that won't work as the key gets turned into a 10 key, but we'll see. I have to try so I can say I did, then if it doesn't...

    Windows 10

Really? Well I suppose it's worth a shot. From Windows XP - 7 I reinstalled a fresh windows image on any new PC me or someone I knew bought. Just seemed to start them off on a good foot. Then I got this Windows 8 PC, did the same while upgrading with an SSD, and it just refuses to activate...

    Windows 10

I would love to nuke it and start fresh, just worried about activation. Windows 8 made things really screwy, I don't have a key I can just type in. I remember when I threw an SSD in there for my C: I reinstalled windows 8 from fresh thinking the activation was tied to the mobo or something...

    Windows 10

It was upgraded, but I did that restore option in settings that's suppose to basically reinstall Windows. It's not complaining at me to update anymore, maybe it managed to do it one night.. Actually I don't think it did, I don't seem to have some of the new things it changes. Maybe it will...

    Windows 10

So windows is trying to install the creators update, but twice now it botched up my windows installation. It ends up having to restore the previous version, and then I get the damn popup to update again. I really hope I'm not stuck in an endless loop >_<

    Windows 10

I didn't see a whole lot of info when it finished, just 'Long Generic - Pass'. Luckily this program seems to keep the logs, so if there's something else I should have looked at I should be able to bring it up without rescanning. Like I said, I think it's something with Windows. I did some...

Ok I've done a test with the seagate tool (SMART test) and it passes. An error scan in windows comes up with nothing, and an error scan in HD Tune comes up as 0.0% damaged blocks. If there's another tool I should be using let me know.

Well isn't that dandy. On another note, anyone having issues with Windows Explorer working extreeeemely slowly from time to time? It seems to be drive specific, like right now, my F: is taking like 10-30 seconds to navigate through folders, where C: is just fine. And it's not just file...

    Windows 10

Well I talked to the guy at work who uses it, and he's ok with me doing a clean install. He said he wants Windows 8 back on it though so I guess that's what I'll be doing.
