Hi all, very long time no post! :) I have a little MSI Wind (Actually, it's an Advent of some kind, but I am led to believe it's just rebadged?) netbook which was given to me for free, which I would like to use in my 4x4 as a memory map/GPS. It's not booting up, after the bios splash screen it...

To be honest though, you'd have to have a pretty damn slow dual core for it to be bottlenecking on WoW, a quad just wouldn't be worth it imo. You can max WoW out on a low-end Pentium E-series, and still get 60fps locked out with a half decent GPU.

I had that same idea, a combined 360/PC would be ideal for me. I've done a few mods to some of my consoles, (extra fans, windows, lighting, Xtreme firmware etc.) but I'd love to do something like that one day.

A 64-bit CPU and MoBo will run a 32-bit O/S just fine. They'll also run 64-bit stuff when you come to change O/S in the future. :good:

I just got my Canon EOS 1000d, was having a hard time choosing between the Nikon D3000 and it, but in the end went with the Canon due to the Live View, the fact that it fits really nicely in my hands and that I got it really cheap at about 35% off.

Same here, my mate had no end to the troubles with his Asrock mini atx board. It had trouble recognising SATA devices, and gradually everything started to fail on it - USB ports, LAN, audio - everything. He recently changed it for a nice Gigabyte model. :good:

Just a money issue? Isn't that part of the point of building/maintaining your own PC, to save money? I'm sorry but I have to agree with Tlark, there's no point whatsoever in upgrading a laptop, besides RAM upgrades.

Someone correct me if I'm wrong, but I wouldn't have thought the CPU heating up is a guarantee that it's OK... But you're right, it could still be the MoBo that's at fault.
