    QoS information and help?

This is actually quite easy to do if you're using the Netgear web setup and not the CLI. You can give QOS priorities to Mac addresses and Ethernet ports: http://kb.netgear.com/app/answers/detail/a_id/24266/~/how-to-enable-quality-of-service-(qos)-on-routers-with-the-genie-user-interface

    Fiber Optic Cable Cutting

Yes, you should be fine doing this, but you want/need to be a lot more careful and precise when cutting it to terminate it onto connector ends. There is a good guide on it here: http://thefoa.org/tech/ref/basic/term.html

How phones pick up incoming calls

Are you talking about mobile phones? In which case, essentially each mobile will take a very small slice of bandwidth within a bandwidth range on the electromagentic spectrum from the local cell tower it is connected to. The switching hardware can then determine on what frequency incoming calls...

Basic port forwarding... what am I missing?

Some routers use different terminology. For example on some drayteks it appears there are 3 different places you can configure port forwarding, whereas it only works under 'virtual servers'.

Finding files from Recycle Bin on older harddrive?

Try enabling both hidden system files and operating system protected files. Hopefully, you will see a 'Recycler' folder on the root of the drive which will contain the files from the recycle bin.

Page first result in Google- How to Push Down

You could try negative SEO on it. I haven't checked datingpyschos so not sure how much of an authority site is it, but negative SEO could help you remove it. This basically involves throwing thousands and thousands of spammy links at the URL with the same anchor text. Depending on the root site...

    php webpage

Wait, what? PHP is a server side language, so as soon as you hit the php page, the server runs the code and sends you the HTML output. So no, without access to the file storage of the server the website is hosted on, you cannot view the contents of the PHP file itself.

    What's the best free antivirus?

Personally I would go for Panda Cloud. Cloud based antivirus, very effective and extremely low resource footprint (i.e. it consumes very few resources compared to other AV programs.) Compliment that with Malwarebytes and you should be good to go!

1st post: Do all free AV's suck?

I would never pay for an AV program, most the additional features you get when compared to a free one aren't very useful. User knowledge on security is your best line of defence. But having a secure network, a decent AV program (Panda Cloud is great and free), a sandbox tool and using...

Is VPN really secure for public wifi coffee shops? What is the most secure way?

VPN through 4G is your best bet. VPN through public wifi is also pretty secure, however, theoretically, an attacker could easily do an ARP poisoning attack to mask themselves as the default gateway. However, in reality, for them to then intercept your VPN connection and key exchanges (before...

    Wireless and Ethernet Simultaneously

If both have default gateways configured then by default, your wired connection will be used as your main Internet connection (as the metric will be lower than the wireless connection.) But, as beers said, you can verify this with a route print command.

    Do I need 4GB?

For what you want to do I would say 2GB will be more than sufficient.

    Acer or Sony.

Sony are expensive for what they are and I'm not that impressed by their build quality, having said that Acer are pretty poor in terms of quality when you compare them to HP.

Installed Win 7 on HP Pavillion dv9500 - Mute button light not working

Go on the hp site and to support and drivers, put the exact model in and make sure you download all the drivers and make sure there are no devices in device manager with an exclamation point on them.

    Wireless network issues

Yeh, it sounds like your wireless network drivers are installed, to confirm this go into device manager and check for any devices with a yellow exclamation mark on them.

Two Wireless Routers On One Network

What are you trying to accomplish with this? Obviously only one router can be your default gateway out so are you just trying to bridge them together to extend your range? In which case both routers will need to support wireless bridging.

    Wireless n for work

Any standard wireless N router that supports bridging should do the trick. Try the WNDR3700 from Netgear, it should be more than adequate :)
