I've had both Gigabyte and Asus boards--I'd go with the Asus myself --it states it will handle a 125W processor-but I guess it's personal preference. Both look to be good boards.

Ok I did something stupid---I disabled the onboard sound as playback---thinking it would switch to hdmi--but now it's not listed as a playback device. I've re-installed the ac 97 drivers from realtek--check to make sure that the bios list the ac 97 as sound -what should I do next??

Tomb Raider-finished it once---replaying again at higher difficulty.

What size PSU are you using??

No matter what you get---get a SSD drive ---start up time is quicker than any regular drive---The 7850 is a great GPU to have---you might be able to do with a smaller drive than a 1 TB---just a thought.

This is stock---will o/c it later.

The "graphics by cpu" -means that because that is a socket 1155 -you use these processors-Intel i3,i5. etc. processors?. You have to pick which processor fits your budget and still fits the motherboard socket.

Can you give us what your system specs are and if you have any video signal at all--that would help everyone.

Ended up going with the thermaltake PSU..hopefullly it will last longer than the warranty.

I had a generic PSU tester-Power Judge-tested it--said don't use anymore---would I be able to use something in the 500-550 W range or should I stick with a 600 W PSU?

just checking voltages again--bios still says 12.17 at startup---but then both speedfan and pcwizard says 12v is up to 12.86---should I stop using this power supply or what's the worst that can happen---blow up everything???-or am I getting paranoid??

Do you play a lot of games , web surf, photo editing?- and what kind of money do you want to spend ?

Forgot to mention that when I upgraded the video is also when I installed the SSD-did a clean install of windows and installed AMD 13.1 drivers for the video. I am concerned about the voltage---most of the places I've looked said the 12v shouldn't be over 12.6--where mine says 12.8.
