I dont think its possible due to size, unless the slimline was mounted using adaptors in a full size enclosure but being dell i dubt it. she will need to either return it to buy the proper one or buy a hd external enclosure.

When I took apart my acer to fully take the shell off I prety much had to take apart the whole thing Keyboard/screen/hd/DVD drive/35+ screws intotal so unless you want to go that route just stick with the acessable areas Ram cpu and hd.

I would go for a cheap new system that has the warranty to save any hassels down the road, and if need be later you can just add more ram or a video card.

What I think they are trying to get at is your hooking the computer up to your TV then why are you getting a monitor too, save some money to up grade ram or add another HDD/optical drive. or just put that money back into your pocket.
