Yes it has worked before, but it gradually got slower, the green loading bar disappeared and now its stopped working. its not on work offline mode. Ive done some research and it could be a google redirect virus, it takes you to search sites which look normal, but are filled with malware...

right i changed the prefered dns to 2.4.4.4 still nothing.

right thanks for that ive done that, but its also asking for a subnet mask, ive left it at 255.0.0.0 and the default gateway as blank. re-done the ping to google via cmd, still doesn't work. any other ideas? -Sach

i normally use,firefox, but its not working on internet explorer, chrome or safari. ive checked, its not working offline and the computer is connected to the internet. when you click google, it says looking up, then just says done after about 10 seconds with a blank screen.
