Hello all, Here's the story, i have a computer with windows 98 and windows 2000 on it. I did this so i wouldnt have to transfer all my data as it would automatically go on to windows 2000, as where if i formated the disk and then installed Win 2000, i would've saved the data on external drives...

That may be because your shotcut's are different. Up to where does your comp get to before it reboots? Do you have vital files on the computer? Where do you think you were when you got the virus?

I dont know if its the same thing, but i think surge protectors can also have a batterie able to withstand ~20 minutes if power is down. you connect your PSU to the surge rotector, and the protector to the plug in the wall.
