Yeah I saw it. Its just bizarre! I guess its once again due to the fact that Nvidia cards are better optimized for games. I still haven't figured out why that is. If ATI wants to keep up why don't they optimize their cards better?

no that's just not true at all. The GSO is better than the GT but the 3850 demolishes both of them. The 3850 can even compete with the 9800GT.

the MSI is better. Its cheaper, has a bigger screen, and is slimmer. It may have DDR2 ram and a little weaker video card but it won't make that big of a difference in a laptop

you can get a C2Q! Get a Q8200 or a Q9550. If for some reason it didn't work you can simply send it back and get a core 2 duo.

I do not believe that a bios update would make the laptop run cooler. There is a chance that it would allow for better fan utilization but I don't know for sure.

not true. I rock a 3850 in my dad's P4 system and it plays most of my games on high with about 15-25 fps. The 3850 is the best buy and it won't be bottlenecked by ur system.

get the 4850 instead of the 4830. Its much better and only 40 dollars more.

there is a reason they call me el quad core. go with the Q9550. when games start taking advantage of 4 cores you will be happy u got it.

ATI overclocks much farther than Nvidia but Nvidia cards are optimized for games more. Nvidia cards are faster and you will see more fps with them. When ATI gets better drivers and games are better optimized for ATI those extra stream processors will come in handy.

amps are more important. codogen is a crappy brand and probably you would need one that has a nice 72 amps with 12 volt rails.
