if i wipe the drive and reinstall vista will it do automatic updates still to the point were it was discontinued?.....or will i have to install all the updates manually?

i guess its because there is no OS on the computers yet, so i cant boot it up and check the specs that way, is there a way to tell the processor and MB specs just by looking at them? i guess my real question is.....what motherboard is best, fastest processor?

thanks...... unfortunately when i boot with the hirens cd the computer will not even recognize the drive, but if i boot in normal or safe mode it will :confused: when i boot in normal mode (or safe mode) it will at least list the drive under "computer" as a last resort i was trying to...

i have a computer that will not boot, i took the hard drive out and connected it to another computer with usb cable, when i plug it in, the computer acknowlegdes/sees the drive, when i click on "computer" the drive is listed there as a secondary hard drive, however i can not view anything...

unfortunately i do not, i kind of only glanced at the list quickly, none of the threats/viruses seemed to be severe (you know how spy bot gives you a scale of how severe each threat is), they were all on the lower end of the scale
