    Overclocking my gpu

I'm not so sure that overclocking the memory alone will yield "incredible" performance as compared to overclocking the GPU itself. I don't see why you couldn't. It would improve your performance a bit. As with all overclocking, as I'm sure you know, it is dangerous on a certain level. Watch...

If you don't know what overclocking means, why would you want to do it?

    wd3000 died.... need help

It seems absurd to me that the circuit board would fail on a mechanical drive. I would say you can't do anything about it. Sometimes there is hope. What I would do just to make sure there isn't just a little bit of life left in it is to pop in a HBCD (more info here) and boot up Mini Windows...

wd 500 external drive not showing up

I agree. All I would say is be careful taking out drive. I have taken apart a few external HDDs and the companies like to hide screws and place very inconspicuous tabs in places. (At least in my experience)

No sound is coming from headphones nor speakers

I'm having a hard time understanding what you're asking exactly. Do you want to know why your computer isn't playing sound? Also, we are computer nerds, we know what btw means. :P

    Cool story bro.

    Is this normal?

I think it will be alright. I wouldn't say it would damage your motherboard, but it would (very slowly) warp to PCB for the video card. Not anything that will matter though.

    ATI Radeon HD4670 or HD5550?

DirectX 10 and 11 are similar, but not equal. There are very few differences. Windows XP supports up to DX9, Windows Vista and Windows 7 support up to DX11. If you care to read more, see Wikipedia: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/DirectX#DirectX_10

Just ordered, anything I should know?

Frankly, memory doesn't produce much heat. The memory sticks that you bought have very righteous heatsinks, possibly not necessary. As long as your system case has decent airflow, you should be fine. Just don't suffocate your system. To answer your second question, I need a few things from...

    USB Wireless adapter...so many choices??

What? Why? That makes no sense. My family had a wrt54g for about 5 years until we purchased a lot of wireless devices and needed better signal strength. So we bought this: http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16833127215 Signal strength is probably 3x stronger and speeds...

    Keyboard types wrong characters

You could try remapping specific keys. Go here to download a free program named KeyTweak: http://webpages.charter.net/krumsick/ If it's 2 months old, you could always get a replacement under warranty. I really doubt that the warranty is less than 90 days.

    ATI Radeon HD4670 or HD5550?

+1. I believe he said his budget is $80 in another thread he made.

I think that you would be fine with the V8 but maybe not the v10. This is just my guess, I'm not entirely sure.

Need a power supply and case.

At the same time? Or separate? I'm going to assume you mean the same time. Well the 460 takes 160 watts at maximum, and the 240 takes 69 watts. Together, they can draw 229 watts, but it's most likely not going to go up that high. Be prepared for it though. If you need more tips, fill out...

I would be careful to see if you have enough clearance with those huge heat spreaders. Is your cpu fan going to get in the way?

    getting new case fans?

If you don't mind spending a lot of money, I hear that Noctua fans are amazing: http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16835608004&cm_re=noctua_120-_-35-608-004-_-Product Good all-around fans in my opinion would be NZXT fans...

    Need a Wireless card

There are plenty wireless adapters out there for under $75. Go look around on Newegg or something. This one seems to be a really big hit: http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16833166056

    Graphics cards and big screens

Well, no matter how large a 1080p tv is, the resolution is always 1920 by 1080. It's just a matter of how large the individual pixels are. The 5830 has plenty enough muscle to play games at 1920 by 1080. You don't need to upgrade. I have a couple of questions: 1. What interface are you using...
