I took out the fan and oiled it in response to the problem. The high pitch sound, no video, and no front light on was the original problem. I wanted to check out the noise as a clue to what the problem could be and discovered it was the fan. I oiled it because I had it cracked open anyway.

Took the fan out, the sticker off, and put some lubricating oil in the two holes. I have done it with another loud computer fan and it works.

The computer freezes first, and then when I hard reboot I get the four beeps and blank screen. (The fan runs after the beeps but nothing else happens). After the cycle with the four beeps, I then turn the computer off again, back on, and it will then usually reboot and run normally.

According to the Power Meter, it says the current power source is batteries, which is obviously not true. Other than that, I am not even sure what my power settings should be.

Hi Scott. It is plugged into the wall and running. I do not even have a battery in it, so it would not power up at all if the wall switch was off.
