FYI: Restore Points are designed to fix problems with Windows and Programs; They tend to only restore the Windows settings and programs that existed on your computer. At least in Windows Vista/Windows 7 the restore will keep your documents and files.

Run a Malware or AntiVirus scan....I would agree with johnb35 that its a virus. Restoring your computer to an earlier point might not work though as some viruses tend to hide from the restore and are there when the restore is done.

By "security tool" virus, do you mean the fake AntiVirus software? Try booting into safe mode and running Malwarebytes AntiMalware software.

Just get a external hard drive with massive storage. With online storage you have to deal with the speed of your internet connection, but with a external hard drive, you run at the speed of USB or Firewire.
