Graphics Cards SLI - Geforce GTX 460

That is exactly the dilemma I am in. I realised that I bought my card 1.5 years ago and I need to upgrade it lol... Probably doesn't help my finances that I went and spent £88 on a SSD today =/ lol... If I can get a cheap GTX460 (<£100) then I'll go that route, but considering the card is...

Graphics Cards SLI - Geforce GTX 460

The specs in my sig are out-of-date... I haven't been on here for a long time and I have upgraded since. I'm now running an i7 2600k, and a gigabyte Z68XP-UD3P, so I know I can definitely SLI. I have been looking for a GTX460, but they're still around the ~£100 mark and I'm wondering whether...

Graphics Cards SLI - Geforce GTX 460

Hey all, Long time since I have posted on here! I'm currently running a GTX460 in my box and I'm thinking about upgrading/changing my setup. Would it be worth me spending the money on a second GTX460 or would I be better off waiting a bit longer and buying a single better card? Also...

    Computer Upgrade

I'm also looking at buying a 3rd party CPU cooler. Does anyone know any good ones to use? I'm currently using a Zalman something on my CPU and I have never had any problems, but I want something other than the stock for this i7 :)

    Computer Upgrade

Thanks! I would rather go with a Gigabyte motherboard anyway... My first post items were just an idea of what I want, I haven't made the final decision yet.

    Computer Upgrade

I'm not just looking for (only) a gaming upgrade, an all round upgrade is my plan. After 4 years I think it just needs an upgrade. My CPU is no longer clocked at the speed in my sig (half the time its standard) and I want a mobo that will allow me to SLi etc... so thought i'd just go all out :) lol

    Computer Upgrade

Ah cool. I am considering a 2nd 460 rather than just buying a single, better card. I just want to ensure that if I go for such a high-end processor that I am going to see the full benefit of it :)

    Computer Upgrade

Hey guys, I have decided that after 4 years I need to upgrade my Processor, Motherboard and RAM. I have been looking at the Intel core i7 2600k http://www.ebuyer.com/252535-intel-core-i7-2600k-3-4ghz-socket-1155-8mb-cache-retail-boxed-processor-bx80623i72600k with something like this...

    Broadband provider in the Uk

Virgin broadband is by far the best Internet that I have used in the UK (that is available to the public). They are the only ones to use fibre I believe. The only problem I find with them is that although they offer "unlimited downloads" they do have a "fair usage policy" that can absolutely...

How to connect tow pc for internet using?

Well, I assume you only have 1 internet line? So you want to split that between 2 PCs? To do it without a router you would need to purchase an additional Ethernet card for your Desktop PC, and fit it. Then you would also need to purchase a crossover cable (looks like an Ethernet cable), this...

How to connect tow pc for internet using?

I know you said you don't want to buy a router, but that is by far your easiest option. Your other option is to link the two computers with a crossover cable (would require buying a second Ethernet PCI card for the main PC) and using the main PC as a gateway.

    CCleaner...

Yeah, without using CCleaner, manually finding those files would have been a pain. I didn't even know they were there before! And 10GB can be a lot when your HDD is nearly full! :)

    CCleaner...

It's not just about speeding it up. It can also remove unnecessary files. I haven't run it for ages and this thread reminded me to do so, just removed 10GB! of stuff lol

    Today is IPV6 day

My ISP doesn't appear to be utilizing IPv6 yet. But it is nice to see that progress is actually being made, although I'm not looking forward to trying to memorize 128bit(?) long alphanumeric IP's lol.

    Do you secure your WiFi?

I secure my wireless at home, but I don't use a strong password for it. The signal barely reaches the whole house (completely solid walls), and it's not easy to get a signal from outside. But I do also live in a neighbourhood where the average age is about 50+ so I'm not too worried about...
