check if you can ping your own card, if it works .. disable ALL security settings from your modem (mac filtering, wep/wpa) ping your modem and try to connect. if it works set your security levels as you like. you may also try the procedure by uninstalled firewall. ciao

hi Guess you're not running wlan !?? Cuz i had same troubles with WLAN. however, you should check for new firmware to upgrade your router. Wenn you get disconnect, try to ping your router. it should always respond. If not, check the security seeting from your router, or your "norton" bye

Never mind, had the same prob with a linksys wlan card. As I found out, and the hotline from linksys confirmed, some drivers may conflict with the XP drivers. Set "Let windows manage...." and that's it. And it's the official support i got from linksys too. ciao
