yeah, don't plan on those rebates coming back. TD has a horrible reputation with MIRs.

I tried it once, but it didn't seem a whole lot different than any of the others. But then again, I didn't give it much of a chance, because my wireless card doesn't work with linux.

The only way to know if it would work is to try. I'm 99% sure that it would work to put it to the rated settings. It isn't overclocked at all, is it?

I can think of a few things, though I'm not sure if anyone of them would definitely cause this. Check your paging file. Check your system restore. How big is the file to be downloaded?

Look on ebay, you might be able to find a 1GB for just over $10. but under that, and I doubt that you'll have much luck.

Tell that to all the ebayers. They're going for $170-$190 USED (without shipping) on ebay. Plus, the cheapest I've seen (at newegg) is $250 after rebate. I agree, the 7900GS beats it. But, the 7900GS is PCI-E, and the 7800GS is AGP, and one of the fastest (if not the fastest) AGP card...
