That mobo does support DDR3 1600. It's considered as an oc for AMD cpus that support it. 1333 is default. @OP I would get the 5770 it's only a few bucks more and it's worth it.

You should. With your budget between $400-$500 plus selling your computer you can build decent pc. Not really sure how much you can get off that pc, but could be enough.
