How can i Lan an pc with me and a laptop with me, we had troubles doing it,

Done disk clean up, g ot some space aswell now my pc has 3.2 gig,

Basicly I was wondering why my pc has suddenly gone from 2.2 gig free space to 1.8 without installing anything, I went to tempory internet files and I deleted them, there was 486meg, probably from downloads, now when i right click and go to propaties on the folder it says the 486meg is still...

I have a big problem. I am downloading a rather large file.. 745meg but my brother will be using the pc every other hour so my download HAS to be stopped, is there any program i can download which will let me continue the download at a later date, i use mozilla and the download manager is good...

no but I use my pc alot to make money :D and my brother plays games so it's on quite a bit..
