100% Computer protection.....?

Morning guys,

Just wondering what i should use for pc protection (XP)? I currently have mcafee 2005 but it seems to be taking up alot of resources especially on startup, slowing my pc down.

Should i go with some freeware for all my security software?

I need:

Virus protection/blocker

Firewall (dont no whether to use windows firewall instead???)

Spam email blocker (which blocks emails being downloaded into outlook express not just put in a folder within outlook)

Spyware/adaware blocker? (if not within virus protection)

I just want the best stuff which keeps me going and doesnt slow down my pc.

norton internet security 2005/antivirus 2005 + adaware se

thats all i'm using and it does the job.

if adaware wont remove something i'll just run another remover

hijackthis and etc and such.

used to have norton 2005, seemed to slow me down. i also have adaware pro

See here. Also use Firefox, its more secure than IE and has a popup stopper. For e-mail use mail washer.

What, Firefox? No, its even got a adblock plug-in. Try it here.
