Yep, the monitor puts it up there at almost $600 by itself.
Friends have said to drop back to a 22" for almost half that,
but I really want the 24" monitor.

The printer, keyboard, and floppy drive are all lower quality items.

Is the 610 Watt power supply enough to run everything, fans,
another video card, etc?

Why buying monitor from dell? Are they really good? Look at the price from dell, there is some of other 24" monitor with better spec. / cheaper price

PSU, The one you choosen have only 1 +12V rail. So get a GIGABYTE ODIN GE-S550A-D1 (Smart cable management) or CORSAIR CMPSU-520HX

GPU: I will rather get a 8800GTS 320MB. IMO, the extra 320MB RAM do not worth that different of money. And I would spend that money for a decent Sound Card.

Agreed. You'll be WAY happier. Put the 2 together, you can make both of them be one monitor if you have dual monitor ports

I like the CPU MOBO combo and the 8800 ultra... I would go for a 16mb cache HDD (I like western digital people say seagate is the best choice now) and RAM with better timing CAS 4 probably... This is just me but I don't believe in spending 100+ bucks on a case but if you like that one and its in your budget its up to you... I have that last one and I like it... just gotta look for those MIR
CAS 3 isn't necessary unless you want to stretch your budget like oscary said but its like within 10 bucks to get CAS 4 so I say do that
