360 controller for windows

anyone try the new adapter microsoft has out so you can use a wireless x-box 360 controller on your pc windows? how is it? i have an older gamepad with a usb plug and it never seems to work on any of the games I load though, i am no big gamer though..
 
I would love to get one, I didnt even know they had the adapters out. Do you have a link to one?
 
dont know about the wireless one but the wired 360 controller so far works wonder on dmc3 on my pc, with a patch I downloaded else where I can config the button.
 
I'm pretty sure the original Xbox controllers were just modified USB. I don't know about new ones, but I have seen some 360 controllers MADE for windows. I think they were at Walmart...
