530 login incorrect

anyone seen this alert message before and know what to do about it? its an ftp site related problem. it occurs simply when i try to access the site and not after login.
 
So let me get this right.... you enter your username & password and it lets you into the site but also displays the 530 Login Incorrect message?

Have you been able to login to that FTP site previously without any messages poping up?

Do you use an FTP program to view the site? or just IE?
At work i have to connect to alot of FTP sites so i use a program called FTP Commander (Client) which is very easy to use and also lets you select the type of FTP you are trying to connect to.... which may be your problem. i.e. MS FTP v4, MS FTP v5, MAC, UNIX, etc..
